Is always welcoming.
Almost never quiet.
Filled with love, creativity, a thirst for knowledge and a desire to appreciate music, literature and cinematic art.
My home is where I always want to be and where I wanted to be this weekend when plans fell through, as even the best laid are inclined to do.
We still saw family, who loved us, feed us and bought us beautiful gifts to celebrate two free days off that brought us closer together.
We saw friends of family who reminded us that generosity, kindness and support come in all shapes and sizes dressed up or dressed down.
We went through pain and our bodies reminded us that sometimes the indulgence must end and we must tend to and care for our bodies in other, seemingly less luxurious ways.
And so, as is almost always the way when your home and stomach are graced with more sugary delight that a self-respecting tummy can handle, we resolve to abstain and push forward with a plan better suited to our temples.
I hope your Easters were happy, healthy and decadent.
Mine may not have been perfect but I managed to enjoy a little of what I fancied ;)
