This Week

This week has not been a good week. For some reason my body is suffering at the moment, I'm hoping it's just something to do with the weather but I really hope it ends soon.
I do have one piece of good news though. I finally finished the wrap I wanted to give for Mothers Day - BIG SMILES! Despite a small mistake and a bit of a balls up with the buttonhole I think it's pretty much perfect. And so warm.
I really hope Mum likes it. I tried to chose a colour which she could pair with most outfits. She's staying over next week before our trip to Bruges so I'll let you know. It's not perfect and it hasn't stitched up as wide as I was hoping but with time it'll stretch anyway so I think this may not be a problem for too long.
In other news, I've picked up a project that I started a looong time ago... Over a year ago I think. I'm going to try my best to stay focused and finish this and another wip before I start any other knitting projects. I'm even leaving the easier of the two at work so that I can knit a few rows during my lunch.
With no gifts or orders on at the moment and my third project unravelled (the end fell off of my Cath Kidston needle before I could salvage the work) I'm hoping I can be as disciplined as the lady from the Knitting Rose podcast that I've been listening to. You can find her on iTunes, Ravelry, Facebook and Twitter. But I'm just enjoying listening to her talk knitting, summits and life while I'm chained toy desk at work. Nothing like a bit of craft chat to inspire you for when you get home!
I hope you've all had fantastic weeks. We've been in the garden today planting veggies and herbs and tomorrow I'm heading over to The Making Room in Howe Green for a Bookbinding workshop held by my incredibly clever and talented friend. I'll be sure to post again to show you how I got on!
For now I'll say goodbye and leave you with a pic of my home wip :) TTFN xxx
