We're welcoming a weekend full of relaxed moments catching up with friends and family alongside a spot of French, a little knitting and a hopefully enough time to get my teeth sunk into my new book.
I've just finished The Help and thought it was incredible, so brilliantly written and, not unlike A Thousand Splendid Suns which I've also recently read, so vivid that I can easily picture the homes, the people and the town at a moments notice. Which I have. A lot. Reading an excellent book is wonderful and there is no feeling that comes close to that sense of escapism, of that wide-armed welcome into another world but I can't help feeling that when I close the final page of waved goodbye to a good friend.
Anyway, I'm off to make a new friend. Have a wonderful weekend, much love xxx
