Well, it would appear that I've been rather slack with keeping my blog up to date.
This is mainly down to the fact that I spent a good couple of months making the same thing over and over again in order to fulfil an order I received completely out of the blue. At the time I was so relieved to have each piece finished that I hastily shipped them off to the buyer forgetting to photograph my creations. However, the friend who bought the scarves and wristwarmers dutifully united his entire family and got a couple of pics for me so here you have it:
There's one more pair of wristwarmers not captured here but apparently all were happy with their homemade gifts and my friend was happy to support a crafter in her little hobby.
And I was lucky enough to spend my earnings at Ally Pally at the Knit and Stitch Show. The Black Sheep Wool stall was pure knitty heaven! What bargains!!! Sacks upon sacks of beautiful yarn piled high and all at least half price! I managed to pick up enough stash to make the below:
Needless to say I was VERY chuffed with myself!
Other makes include this little hanging ornament made for a friends birthday present:
I can't claim to have created it myself but I took the image and wording from separate patterns and arranged them my way... that kinda counts right? It's lovely what ever so I don't mind who takes credit ;)
And the friend who fell into autumn is also an incredibly talented crafter who runs a number of different workshops including sugar flowers for cake decorating which, although not really my thing, turned out rather beautifully!
I've also made without pics:
- A neck pillow (which got left on a plane, don't you just love men!!)
- Salted Caramel Peanuts and Cashews
- Peppermint Bark
- A cowl for my Mum
- More scarves for family presents (an another on the go at the moment)
- A felt keyring of a cute little bird
- A felt Christmas tree
- A bag to hold my kntting projects in
- Earwarmer
And my WIP list looks like this:
- Cable jumper
- Rib jumper
- Scarve
- Pompom rug
- A top and skirt which need fixing
- A cross stitch keyring
- A cross stitch Cath Kidston purse
I figure that as long as my finished list is bigger than my WIP list I've got the balance right... It doesn't matter that I'm counting everything since I last blogged... which was SEVEN months ago. Oh well, I'll be a more faithful blogger and maker from now on. Ish. ;0)
I'm off now for a walk in the snow before coming home to cheesecake, hot chocolate with marshmallows and The Time Travellers Wife.
Life is pretty sweet.
I hope you're happy and healthy and enjoying your Sunday evening too xxx
