Hello Blogland Lovelies,
Sorry for the break in blogging, I've been working on something which isn't really growing very quickly so haven't had much to report on but today I have a show and tell piece!
One of my guilty pleasures (of which there are many but few that I would eagerly admit to!) is Cross Stitcher magazine. Nothing to feel too guilty about... if you ignore the fact that I never use any of the free patterns or make up any of the free gifts...
Until now!
Introducing the super cute compact mirror holder:
I have to say I LOVE this. I quietly set myself the challenge to complete all of the lovely free kits I get from Cross Stitcher mag and I'm glad I did.
I haven't felt well these last couple of days and to be able to finish this whilst bored and frustrated with the idiot box was the highlight of my weekend.
It doesn't quite make up for the plans I've had to cancel but it is pretty and those tweety pies have stolen my heart just a little :)
My ongoing project... as if there's only the one - PAH!
Rephrase: the project mentioned at the beginning of this post is a kicking bag for my friends baby but boy is it becoming long-winded. I love the idea and I can't wait to see him in it but it's week four and I still have 8cm to go... on Side 1!!!!
Here's my work in progress:
It's lovely but I won't be tackling something so big again for a gift. He'll have outgrown it by the time I finish!
And so to happier moments recorded since last we spoke.
The garden is blooming:
Fruit |
Veg |
And flowers |
What more could a girl ask for??
Needless to say we're eating courgettes and french beans with every meal!!!! But I say this smuggly having seen how expensive these beautes are at the supermarket :)
And so I'm off to watch Marlon and Dorey find Nemo whilst I rest some more and keep my fingers crossed that I'll be well enough to see Rumer tomorrow night.
Much crafty love xxx
