WI Virgin-No-More!

Hello blogland lovelies!
'Ow be?

I've had a very exciting evening learning to use embroidery for card-making at my local WI!

We were very nervous upon arrival but everyone was so lovely and happy to see a pair of fresh, young faces (we were easily the youngest by about thirty years!!!).

And next month I'm going to learn how to bone a chicken! How awesome is that?!?!?!?!

Ooh ooh and I bought a Money Maker tomato plant for just 50p, it's meant to produce huge toms and smells lush too.
As did the beautiful strawberries and raspberries I happily ate this week. I really love summer time food and literally cannot wait for nectarines to come back into season!

It may be small but the Just Imagine bookshop were very pleased with the knitted square I handed in to become part of their story-time blanket.

Unfortunately this is my only finish to report on as my other projects are a little time consuming and/or haven't been worked on due to a surprising amount of socialising!

I would like to show you these beauties though.

From mine own garden:

And from the yellow ticket section at the supermarket:

Flowers always make me feel so happy but I don't often have the money for this little luxury which makes them extra special in this household.

I think for my birthday next week I shall treat myself to some peonies :-D

What a lovely thought...
