Who Says Practical Can't Be Pretty

Hello, hello!

It may be the night before the first day back at work, I may have the most spots I've ever had on my face and I will most definitely find out I have piled on the pounds when I weigh in this week but I am ridiculously happy!

This weekend I've managed to make my very first, wearable, stitched item...
A top!

I am useless with a sewing machine but after double-checking the instructions and re-threading the correct way (oops!) and a LOT of to-ing and fro-ing I finally got there.

Soooo proud!

Just two more teeny stitchy bits and it'll be perfect!

I love the fabric too and it was an absolute BARGAIN from the local indoor market so I feel thrifty and smug to boot!

I also had another make this weekend.

It's not nearly as exciting but I've needed one for a while now and know it'll get plenty of use in our house so thought, if it's got to be practical why not make it pretty??

And so, without further ado, I bring you:
My Carrier Bag Holder! Hurrah!

Phew!
Off to bed now after all of that excitement ;0)
Speak soon xxx
