The coals on the barbecue are burning, the fish is marinating and I'm relaxing, soaking up the last of the bank holiday sunshine with a gin cocktail to hand and my knitting not so far away.
We had a lovely weekend, it was exactly what we needed and, in one of those strange ways, the mess that we came home to was exactly what we needed too.
The house is deep cleaned, we're all unpacked and the washing machine is dutifully ticking over.
I think I'll make a quick potato salad and then get back to sunning myself before I have to think about the alarm that'll go off tomorrow morning and everything that it could bring with it ;-)
