Happy Wednesday to all of my blogland friends, how is your week going?
Mine has flown by and tonight saw another meeting of the minds as my nearest and dearest pulled up a pew for a spot of knitting, sewing, over-locking and so much conversation that at times everyone was compelled to speak all at once lest we forget even one noteworthy point. It was fabulous!
It was also, as always, therapeutic. I was reminded that a pattern or project that conjures up feelings of dread is not a pattern or project that is deserving of my time.
In which spirit we bid farewell to the offer of a commission. I can't continue to flog that horse any longer, four attempts at starting the jumper with two different patterns and a lot of very cheap and coarse double knit wool have left me cold I'm afraid to say. I am not programmed to fulfil orders and have instead tonight happily embraced my Whoopee cable cuff almost finishing it ready to pick up stitches tomorrow and start some real work on sleeve one :-) oh glorious knitting the good times are back!
Here's a little preview of my WIP, I'm off to read Heartstone by C. J. Sansom.
Happy Midweek!
