WIP Wednesday

Well good evening everyone I hope you're all happy and healthy and managing to keep dry through all of this wet weather we've been having in the UK lately, if we're all very good the weatherman says it might be sunny Monday :)

I thought I would check in, I've rather ashamedly realised that I have four knitting WIPs on the go, a few stitchy WIPs and other miscellaneous projects running besides so this is my intervention post! I'm hoping if I document my WIPs here I'll start completing before picking up new ones.

My first WIP is the Whoopee jumper by Louisa Harding which I posted a picture of before which I'm knitting in an assortment of green, pink and grey dk wool bought very cheaply from Hobbycraft and my local market. I've been working on this for a year or so now. That sounds awful. I am such a magpie for new projects and I am so lucky to receive free bundles of wool from friends and family that it's hard to stay monogamous for long...

Which is exactly what has happened with this beautiful cotton top that was magically cast onto my needles this week by the knitting fairy. It's a free pattern from www.colourspun.blogspot.com and it was just the thing to use up the stash of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino my friend donated to me. I'll attach a picture so you can see my progress.

I also have two other WIPs but I'll leave you to check out my Ravelry page to see those little beauties. My Ravelry name is Frenny, strange and unrelated I know but sometimes these usernames are hard to come up with on the spot ;)

Anyway I'm off to see my next patient! I'm reading The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat by Oliver Sacks and I love it! I love psychology and the mind with all of its idiosyncrasies and this book captures all of that without alienating with big words... Although proprioception is my new favourite.

What WIPs are you working? I'd love to see!

Bon nuit!
